We want to hear about all those people and groups who have inspired you, helped you and gone that extra mile for their fellow man or woman.

Some of them may be well known organisations you want specially recognised for their exceptional work.

Last year, our winners included Best Community Organisation The Phoenix Stroke Club, the Charity of the Year St Catherine’s Hospice and Holbrook Animal Rescue, which took the Care for Animals Award,

Then there are those people we would never know about unless our readers highlight them to us.

Last year these included Paul Showell of Southwater Junior Academy, who took the Good Sport Award, and David Spreadbury-Troy, who won the Friend of the Environment Awards for his work at Ingfield Manor School. Another otherwise unsung hero was Horsham midwife Leigh Robins, who received multiple nominations.

The deadline for nominations is Monday, October 10 and the winners will be revealed on Monday, November 7 at the glitzy Community Awards ceremony at The Capitol theatre.
