Cello worth £5,000 taken in Yapton house raid

A cello worth around £5,000 was just one of the items stolen during a house burglary in Yapton.

It happened between Sunday morning and Tuesday evening at the property in Downview Road.

The Victorian cello made by Metznor is the most expensive item taken, but other valuable items included a mantle clock, a pair of silver Victorian salmon servers and a commemorative Wesley Methodist plate.
