Cars seized by police in Horsham, Crawley and Mid Sussex

A CRACKDOWN on uninsured and unlicensed drivers in Horsham, Crawley and Mid Sussex districts has led to 120 cars being seized within the past three months.

Sussex Police Road Policing Unit has been taking firm action against offenders.

Inspector Paul Tomlinson said: "If you have not arranged any car insurance and / or do not have a valid tax disc, you are personally responsible for any vehicle recovery costs (including garage storage costs) incurred when apprehended.

" In addition, drivers will automatically be issued with a 200 fine, and your driving licence will be endorsed with six penalty points. Non-compliance will result in a summons being generated, and a court appearance.
