Carer of the Year '˜goes the extra mile'

Emma Scott-Palmer was both shocked and delighted to be presented with Inter-County Nursing and Care Services' Carer of the Year award in Rustington.

Her manager, Gill Wicks, said Emma’s dedication and passion to provide a high-quality and personalised care service to residents set an excellent example for others to follow and proved she was more than deserving of the award.

Making the nomination, Gill wrote: “Emma is an inspiration to us all – she puts her heart and soul into her work, she’s extremely conscientious and a breath of fresh air.

“Emma always goes the extra mile, the feedback from her clients and their relatives is always outstanding and she brings a little sunshine into their lives.”

Having worked in the care sector for more than 40 years, Gill said she recognised the importance of celebrating best practice and was extremely proud to present Emma with her award, along with a £50 voucher in recognition of the wonderful work she does.

Inter-County is a privately-owned care agency with branches in Rustington, Chichester and Christchurch.
