THERE'S nothing like a passing fire engine to create interest among children.

And pupils at Manor School, Uckfield, had the added bonus of a fire engine on site this week. It was all part of a two-day visit by East Sussex Fire Brigade, who delivered a message about fire safety to every class in the school. There was, of course, an opportunity to look over the machine and even try on the brigade headgear for size.
