Brew for the Few

A BEVY of former Town Mayors turned out to support Brew For The Few, the RAFA tea in aid of Wings Appeal.

Rother chairman Cllr Joanne Gadd, herself a former Town Mayor, was at the Albatross Club on Saturday afternoon for tea and cakes with her husband, County Councillor Brian Gadd.

Other mayoral colleagues included Cllr Brian Kentfield, Cllr Joy Hughes and Cllr Deirdre Williams, Cllr Paul Lendon, Eric Armstrong, Veronica Higgins and her mother and former Mayoress Maureen Brampton, John McEwan and Stuart Earl.

Members of No. 2262 (Bexhill) Squadron, Air Training Corps helped Royal Air Forces Association members serve the tea and cakes.

RAFA president Ken Igglesden said he had been delighted by the response, not only by civic leaders but by members and the public.

The event raised 287 by donations and a raffle.
