Badge of pride for Littlehampton winner Emily

THIS aspiring designer has received a welcome endorsement from one of the UK’s largest organisations for young people.

Brownie Emily Twinndory, of Littlehampton, designed a special badge as part of the organisation’s centenary celebration, this month.

Eight-year-old Emily, who is a member of the 1st Littlehampton Brownies, pipped countless other designs by girls across the region, with her pink octopus badge.

Speaking about her success, Emily said: “I was really excited to win the competition as I want to be a designer when I grow up.”

For winning the competition, Emily was presented with a ‘tatty’ teddy and special congratulatory mug by a leading Girlguiding figure.
