Arundel Lido reopens for the summer

AS SUMMER approaches, the Arundel Lido gets up and running this weekend.

Opening for its 12th summer season, the pool will be open from Saturday (May 2) every day until September 6 – six weeks more than 2014.

Situated below Arundel Castle and next to the River Arun, the lido is open from 10am-7pm at weekends, bank holidays and during school holidays.

On term time weekdays, the pool is open from the afternoon until 7pm.

The site includes grassed areas for picnicking and sunbathing and picnic tables, sun-beds and brollies are provided.

It has a 25m main pool, a five-metre entry pool and a large children’s pool.

The main pool is also equipped with a disabled hoist which can be used if the lido is contacted in advance.

There is free entry on the opening day and season tickets on sale with a £5 discount.
