Bognor-based Sgt Rachel Glenton, who heads Sussex Police’s Operation Accent community team, said: “The prosecution of Olczyk results from proactive police enquiries carried out during Operation Accent, the multi-agency initiative aimed at cutting crime and reducing vulnerability among the Eastern European community across Arun District.

“If anyone from this community has been a victim of a crime but has concerns about coming forward and speaking to the police then we would like to reassure them that they will be treated with the utmost sensitivity and professionalism.”

Anyone with information which could help the operation can contact the police in confidence on 101 or [email protected]
