Aiming for a roaring success

Members of the Uckfield Youth Theatre have been rehearsing for a production they think will be of special interest to primary school children when performed next week.

They have chosen CS Lewis's The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe and performances are due to be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the Uckfield Community College.

The story has been adapted for the stage by Leigh Heggie and co-directors of the production are Leah Georges, 15, who is taking a drama GCSE and Mrs Alison Tuffley.

There is a cast of about 35 youngsters ranging in age between 11 and 15 supported by a big back- stage team.

Tickets are available from the Friday-Ad shop in Uckfield High Street costing 4 for adults and children.
