Abseiling for charity - it’s a family affair

Three generations of a Bexhill family conquered their fear of heights with a charity abseil.

Tracey Bartlett, 43, dad Peter Wilson, 64, and eldest daughter Rhiannon (23), took the Sara Lee Trust Abseil challenge at Ocean House on July 5 and raised £1,160.

Tracey, a Trustee and volunteer for the charity, said she is petrified of heights. “I wanted to ‘feel the fear and do it anyway’ to inspire my daughters.” Ocean House is 100ft high.

Peter said he also wanted to conquer a fear of heights and support Tracey and Rhiannon. Tracey added:“We were on the roof at the same time - it was a lovely bonding moment.” www.saraleetrust.org
