A change of use application was last week submitted for three units just off Bognor High Street, which can be accessed via Norfolk Street.

According to the applicant, unit 1 is currently vacant but will become a beauty salon specialising in skin care, whilst unit 2 is currently a nail bar and unit 3 is a tattoo shop.

Work has already started on the site which was previously the subject of a change of use application in July 2014, which cited plans to create four ground floor retail units. In March 2018, unit 4 was converted into a micropub.

In the latest application, there are no proposals to change the existing external facades or planned alterations to access or parking as part of the application, which 'affects the character and appearance' of the Steyne Bognor Regis Conservation Area.

A planning document read: "The change of use application is related solely to the descriptive use of the property and minor internal alterations. It has no other impact on the existing building."
