The shutter had been broken through and more than 20 devices had been taken.

Sreelal Ak, who works in the store, said, “This is a really big break in because they took the tablets. The AirPods will cost £1,000.”

Mr Ak said individuals were caught on security cameras inside the shopping centre and he has spoken to other shops on streets surrounding The Beacon for extra footage.

The shop was victim to a similar crime more than a year ago when its Langney location was broken into and several phones were stolen.

Mr Ak added, “The Langney break in was not that big. This was big. I’m not sure how much this is going to be.”

A spokesperson at Sussex Police said, “Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone with any information is asked to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 997 of 01/01.”
