Tristan Lambeth explains: “The band has been going for 28 years so this has taken its time. We have had various line-ups over the years.”

But the great news is that it's been getting busier and busier for the band.

"This year has been hectic.

"We've done nearly 40 gigs. Last year was about 30 and the year before that, coming out of Covid, was about 15. We are all amateur and we've all got other jobs that we do but I think what's happened has been social media. We get onto free websites and we do various other things and people are picking us up without having seen us.

“We are a covers band. We don't play our own music.

"We write our own stuff but we are not prolific writers but really we play all the classics, The Stones, The Beatles, The Clash, Oasis and a bit of Blur. Everybody knows every single song, and every now and again someone will say ‘Why don't you do this or that?’ and we think about it and talk about it and if it's properly anthemc, then we will do it.

"It’s really got to be the songs that have stood the test of time.”

From The Stones they play songs including Miss You, The Last Time and Brown Sugar; Beatles tracks they cover include Get Back, Come Together and I Saw Her Standing There.

But with this new song they are in new territory with their own composition: “I wrote the lyrics and I wanted to write a song that had all my favourite songs and artists in the lyrics.” S o you will find reference to Brown Sugar and also reference to The Bopping Elf and also reference to Life On Mars, from The Stones via Marc Bolan to David Bowie

“It sounds a bit cheesy but there are also lots of subtle references and someone I know knows that I write the songs and sent him some. He’s a film editor and he said he could use this song on the film. It a film about a woman that has a problem with a pharmaceutical company. It does not necessarily sound a very cheery movie but I think it's going to be good. The guy I know has worked on various other films and they've all been a success so I'm sure that this one will be good too.”

And it is going to be great to hear their own song in it: “It's got maybe a minute and a half or two minutes. I haven't seen the film yet so I can't say but apparently they going to use quite an extended bit of it.”
