Bexhill Rotary Club - August 15

ROTARIAN Caroline Saunders of the Isle of Thanet Sunrise Club has been appointed "Group Study Exchange" Team Leader and is now looking for young business people to join her going to Sao Paulo, Brazil in the Spring of 2009.

Following this year's successful exchange to South Australia led by Rotarian Ray Dixon from Bexhill with a team that included Andy Aish from Eastbourne preparations are already well in hand for next years exchange. District Governor John Wilton also from Eastbourne said of her appointment, "I am delighted for Caroline and know that she is going to lead a successful GSE. Caroline is a great ambassador for Rotary and will represent me, the district and her club with distinction whilst she and our team are in Brazil."

GSE is a Rotary Foundation programme which pays for the flights and provides accommodation whilst arranging cultural and specific vocational visits whilst in the host country. Team applications open to men and women between the age of 25 and 40 who live of work in the East Sussex or Kent area. They must not be Rotarians or related to one.

Applicants must show commitment to their chosen career. They also need to undertake a programme of training and participate in presentations on their return. The team will leave the UK on April 19 09 and return home on May 17 09. Closing date for applications is September 30 and interviews will be held mid October 08.
