Striker Liam MacDevitt has left Horsham for league rivals Greenwich Borough after an ‘unbelievable’ financial offer.
The London-based forward joined the Hornets at the start of the season for their return to the Ryman League South Division.
MacDevitt has scored three goals in 21 appearance, but his pace has caused sides a constant problem this season and he has caught the eye of the promotion chasing outfit.
Horsham manager Dominic Di Paola has praised the youngster for his commitment and revealed he would be welcome back at Gorings Mead if things don’t work out.
He said: “From a financial point of view, they money they offered was unbelievable.
“He is a great lad and has been making a big trip down the play for us, I do not think he actually wants to leave. He is only 19 and a student, so he can’t turn it down.
“He’s been coming down in the train strikes and even for an hours training at Lancing.
“He’s been great for us and although he’s had ups and downs on the pitch, we’d welcome him back if it doesn’t work out.”
