A woman has been rushed to hospital after being cut free from one of five vehicles involved in a crash on the A29 at Adversane this afternoon.
The road is reported closed with traffic queueing both ways.
A police spokesman said: “A woman driving one of the vehicles was cut free and taken by air ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.”
