LETTER: Objections are yet to be heard

The County Times Horsham edition of February 11 featured a front page main article on a proposed music festival at Holmbush Farm.

As a nearby resident who was not consulted on this proposed event, I am very concerned that it is being advertised as confirmed when it is not.

Nowhere in your three pages of coverage does it mention that this proposed event has not been granted a licence.

Tickets are being sold, but local objections to the licence are yet to be heard.

I’m sure your newspaper will want to advise your readers that they may be buying tickets for an event that does not happen and that they should check the refunds policy of the company selling the tickets.

I understand that you published in good faith from information supplied by a PR company, but I hope you will supply you readers with this up-to-date information.

The Parish Council of Faygate and Colgate is meeting at Colgate Village Hall on 24th February at 6pm to discuss the licence application.

I suggest any residents concerned about this and other planned events at Holmbush Farm get to this meeting to hear details and add views. I’m happy to answer enquiries on [email protected] if anybody requires further detail.
