He is due to appear at Guildford Magistrates Court on July 12.

Seven people have been charged in the third week (20-26 June) of Operation Dragonfly, Surrey and Sussex Police’s crackdown on drink and drug-driving throughout the summer.

The campaign sees officers out on patrol actively looking for driving offences and behaviour behind the wheel that may be due to the driver’s consumption of intoxicating substances.

Police said alongside the seven people charged, a further ten have been arrested for drink or drug driving related offences – seven are on bail pending further enquiries, one was given a Penalty Notice for Disorder and two have been released without charge.
