Wisborough Green escape room set to spook pub visitors

Thrill-seekers will have the chance to immerse themselves in the set of their very own scary movie this Halloween as a spooktacular escape room arrives in Wisborough Green.

Described by organiser Daniel Webber as ‘The Crystal Maze meets Scream in a restaurant setting’, the event will take place at The Bat & Ball Country Pub & Haywards Restaurant between Thursday October 25 and Friday November 2.

Daniel, who is the manager at the pub restaurant, said: “The room should be challenging and fun, and maybe the tiniest bit scary also. We do have some limitations because the building and rooms can’t be modified too much, but I think we have been very creative with the space we have.”

The plot for the escape room is that the players are caught in the restaurant by a chef who is supposedly murdering customers, and they have to solve the mystery of restaurant disapperances.

Prices are £60 per group (recommended maximum group size is six).

Daniel said: “In terms of why we wanted to create this room, it’s really down to a love of escape rooms that me and my sister share.

“We have been visiting escape games for a few years now and have often ruminated on making our own, and this year we had the opportunity to do it.”
