SPRING Cat Homing Show & Fundraising Sale, Broadbridge Heath Village Centre, Wickhurst Lane, Broadbridge Heath, Horsham, RH12 3LY, May 13, 11am-3pm. This will be an opportunity for the public to meet the cats hoping for a new home this winter. Also fundraising stalls with many gift ideas, greeting cards, soft toys and collectables to buy. Also cat carriers, scratching posts and other accessories available. There will be refreshments available. Entry is free, but donations of cat food greatly appreciated.

STEYNING Decorative and Fine Arts Society, May 14, has a lecture in tune with current exhibitions in London. Dr Peter Webb is giving an illustrated lecture “David Hockney - Art as Biography”. You can renew your acquaintance with Hockney or newly discover him from what you may or may not have seen at his London Exhibition. The Lecture is at the Steyning Centre (with its car park, opposite the Church), 10.30am, after Coffee served at 10am. Visitors are welcome for a donation of £5.

WALK: May 14: All welcome, free, just turn-up at 10am at The Bull Inn pub car park (TQ 210181) on A281, Mockbridge, Shermanbury for a circular, fairly flat (some stiles), sociable HDC Health Walk heading south west along the banks of the River Adur and a small part of the Downs Link.
