In pictures: Take a closer look at the gardens of East Grinstead’s Standen

Following the relaxation of the ‘stay at home’ rule, we have been looking at some of the outdoor spaces you could visit in East and West Sussex.

The gardens at Standen, in East Grinstead, are spread across 12 acres of hillside, featuring kitchen garden, rhododendron dell and orchard. The estate also has 100 acres of woodland and meadows to explore.

Images editor Steve Robards visited the National Trust site last week, capturing the photographs here.

The house remains closed in line with government guidelines.
