Danny’s Comedy Club unleashes its latest selection of Michelin-starred comedy acts next Friday, May 31, at the United Services Club in Haywards Heath.

Now firmly established on the regional comedy circuit, Danny’s Comedy Club offers seven comedy and one singing acts in each show.

“We have another brilliant selection for everybody this month,” said Daniel Kington, founder and producer of the Club.

“Such is the wealth of comedic and singing talent available I can cherry-pick the absolute best to appear for us.

“Acts travel down from all over the country and yet the richest source of quality performers can still be found right on our doorstep.”

The idea for Danny’s Comedy Club came about when Kington, who has a lifetime’s experience in theatre, film and TV realised the extent of very good comedians that happened to be present in Brighton, developed in no small part thanks to the Jill Edwards comedy school, based in the city.

With the M23 and the Brighton Line close by, Danny’s Comedy Club is also ideally placed to host talent from the capital and further afield.

Pierre Novellie is a former Vice-President of the Cambridge Footlights and national comedy awards finalist. He enjoyed huge success with his sell-out Edinburgh Fringe show last year.

Joy Carter is a Graduate of the National Youth Theatre. This versatile comedian, actress, singer and musician has appeared regularly on TV, and has her own show Get Carter playing live comedy gigs to audiences of more than a thousand.

‘Wandering ponderer’ Michael Mooney is from Glasgow and another regular on the thriving Brighton stand-up comedy scene.

In 2012, he performed his first Edinburgh Fringe compilation show entitled Can You Put This in The Bin For Me, which also sold out for its entire run.

Rob Dumbrell has been a regular on the comedy circuit for the last seven years.

He was semi-finalist in So You Think You’re Funny at the Edinburgh Fringe and is currently featuring on YouTube hosting chilli eating competitions around the country.

Sarah Iles is now a regular MC for the Brighton comedy clubs and was also a finalist for Best New Act at the Brighton Fringe in 2012.

Dave Streeter is a well-known and popular veteran of over a hundred gigs. Serial entrepreneur Dave is also the brains behind a unique venture laying on bespoke ‘paparazzi’ for private parties and events.

Sussex-based comedian Mike Cox is already making his mark on the comedy circuit.

Ronnie Rialto is a star of the Brighton festivals and well known on the club circuit singing Sinatra, Matt Monro and Bobby Darin.

With her wonderful voice Ronnie will bring an easy style and swing to the show.

Doors open at 7.30pm with curtain up at 8.30pm. The Club features comfortable, cabaret-style seating, a bar and ample, free parking onsite. Admission is £5 on the door.
