If you are between nine and 14 years old and want to perform with the cast of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, your moment has arrived.
Auditions will be on Sunday, December 6, from 10am to 12.30pm at The Hawth Studio, Crawley.
Spokeswoman Lorraine McGregor said: “Think of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and as well as the fantastic songs and well-known stars who have donned the coat of many colours you’ll no doubt think of the choir of children who take to the stage and sing their hearts out at every performance.
“Joseph is coming to The Hawth from Tuesday to Saturday, February 2 to 6, and Sway Dance at The Hawth have been chosen by the show’s producers to put together the children’s choir for Crawley.
“Retelling the Biblical story of Joseph, his 11 brothers and the coat of many colours, this magical musical is full of unforgettable songs, including ‘Those Canaan Days’, ‘Any Dream Will Do’ and ‘Close Every Door To Me’.
“If you know someone aged nine to 14 years who can sing and loves to perform, now is their chance to take to The Hawth stage in a professional production, alongside X Factor winner Joe McElderry.”
Registration from 9.45am.
Auditionees need to prepare a verse and chorus of any song and bring a backing track on CD or iPod.
Joe McElderry was just 18 when he won the sixth series of The X Factor in 2009 and immediately went straight to number one in the UK Singles Charts with his debut single ‘The Climb’.
He has since gone on to have three top ten albums.
