Stage Acts Entertainment’s smash hit tribute to one of the greatest movie soundtracks of all time, An Evening of Dirty Dancing: The Tribute show is coming to The Hawth in Crawley on 15 November.
The show is a fully choreographed celebration of the music from the iconic movie, starring a cast of incredible performers sure to show you the time of your life!
The cast is led by Matt Firth (Fame, Tonight’s the Night) and Carla Nella, who recently made her West End debut in the Spice Girls musical Viva Forever at the Piccadilly Theatre.
The production also features Lucy Hope-Borne, Stephanie Ticknall-Smith (Liza, Liza, Liza), Thomas Wright who played Max in the critically acclaimed and multi-award nominated musical The Streets at London’s Cockpit Theatre and Hackney Empire, Lucy Glover (We Will Rock You), Laura Ellis,Daniel Hope and Robért Emile complete the cast.
An Evening of Dirty Dancing: The Tribute Show is a sell-out spectacular originally directed by Paul Spicer (Avenue Q, The Last 5 Years, Taboo) with choreography by Leanne Harwood (Mamma Mia!, Footloose). Dirty Dancing boasts the greatest movie soundtrack of all time and all the hits are here, superbly performed in this fast moving, slickly choreographed theatrical treat.
Songs include: Big Girls Don’t Cry, Hey Baby, Wipeout, Do You Love Me, Hungry Eyes and, of course, the Oscar-winning (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life.
Matt Firth, originally from Leeds, attended the British version of the fame school, which spawned many well known celebrity performers such as Spice Girl Mel B, actress Angela Griffin, Emmerdale’s Natalie Anderson & Andrew Potts from BBC’s Primeval.
Matt went onto appear in West End musicals including Fame and the Rod Stewart musical Tonight’s the Night.
Matt was the face of the nationwide anti-drugs campaign Talk to Frank, which featured the voice of British comedian David Mitchell. He has also appeared in Emmerdale and spent a season with the world famous Royal Shakespeare Company in their critically acclaimed production of Beauty and the Beast.
