SOUTH Lodge Hotel in Lower Beeding will once again be hosting a spectacular outdoor concert which as ever, will feature the celebrated Syd Lawrence Orchestra. They will be playing a variety of wartime classics such as ‘We’ll meet again’, ‘Pack up your troubles’, My old man’ and ‘White cliffs of Dover’ to a rousing wartime sing-along medley.
This annual event has become a notable date in everyone’s diary attracting some 1200 guests enjoying the music, the atmosphere and the beautiful surroundings of South Lodge Hotel. The hotel invite you to arrive a little early to claim a spot in the grounds for the afternoon - lay out your picnic blanket, erect your deck chairs and unpack the wine glasses. No seating is provided so band goers should take their own blanket if required.
Tickets are £22 per adult, £11 per child (4 to 12 years) or £55 per family (includes 2 adults and 2 children). And should you wish to stay overnight the hotel are offering a special rate for Big Band guests of £199 per room including two tickets and full English breakfast (based on two people sharing). Gates open at 4.00pm and the concert begins at 5.00pm and will finish by 8.00pm.
