WARNHAM photographer Steve Gubbins has donated two prizes to the Southern Water Charity Auction and Ball.
He is offering a family portrait sitting, and a makeover and style photo shoot as auction prizes.
The event supports four charities - the NSPCC, Chestnut Tree House, MacMillan and Water Aid.
Steve, who is a cancer survivor as well as a creative photographer and artist, is committed to helping people with disabilities or life-threatening illnesses.
He has already raised £160,000 for various charities, and is now well on course to reach his personal target of £200,000.
“Steve didn’t hesitate when the ball was mentioned to him at a recent Gatwick Diamond Business Association networking event,” said Ros Bird of the NSPCC, who introduced Steve to Southern Water.
“I had heard about Steve’s quest and thought he might be interested in the Southern Water’s charity ball.”
The annual event has raised £535,000 since it began seven years ago.
“It’s terrific that people like Steve help by donating valuable prizes for the auction,” said Kevin Buck of Southern Water.
“We are hoping to top £600,000 this year.”
The ball will be held at the Effingham Hotel, Copthorne on May 31.
