With gates opening at 10.30am and the first race at 1pm, visitors are in for an exciting day of seven races, including a unique Anglo-French amateur riders race.

The day also marks the first of Plumpton’s Cheltenham Bonus Race series, which is a Novices Steeplechase over two and a half miles.

This new series, sponsored by horse racing broadcasters SIS, offers an extra incentive to win by offering a £60,000 cash bonus to any horse that wins one of the Novice Chases at Plumpton and then goes on the win any steeplechase at the Cheltenham Festival in March.

This raceday will also celebrate Plumpton Racecourse entering its third year of being twinned with the French racecourse Pompadour and members of the Pompadour racecourse have been invited to attend. The day will adopt a French theme which will include some special menu options for diners in the Paddock Restaurant.
