HORSHAM Lions were commanding 29-7 winners against Hove IV to win the Sussex Vase in style yesterday.
The Green and Whites’ second XV produced a scintillating display of running rugby to get the better of a strong Hove pack in an attritional final at Coolhurst, with flanker Dan Crook the star of the show with two tries.
Horsham even survived losing two men to the sin bin in the final 20 minutes to close out the victory.
Skipper Mark Elliott said: “It was good day for the club, and for the team as we have just missed out on promotion this year, we have a lot of young players and that helps.”
