Liam Treadwell funeral details revealed: Home-town cathedral to stage service

Tragic jockey Liam Treadwell's funeral will be held in Arundel - and mourners will have the chance to support two charities as they remember him.

The West Sussex-born and raised rider was found dead at his home in Billingsley near Bridgnorth last month aged just 34.

The former Angmering School pupil was a jockey for nearly 20 years and was best known for winning the 2009 Grand National on 100/1 outside Mon Mome.

The funeral will take place at Arundel Cathedral from 10am on Wednesday, July 22.

Tributes pour in after jockey's untimely deathA live stream of the service will be available for those who cannot attend.

With numbers allowed to go to funerals still restricted, his family have announced a day of remembrance will be arranged for friends and relatives after further easing of restrictions by the government.

The live stream for the funeral, which starts at 10am, will be found through the Arundel Cathedral website.

Liam's death must not be in vain, says trainer who knew him wellThe funeral is family flowers only, but any donations can be made in person on the day or via HD Tribe, Funeral Directors, 19 West St, Storrington, Pulborough RH20 4DZ.

All donations will be shared between the Ebony Horse Club, Brixton, and Arundel Castle Cricket Foundation.
