In the junior sectiom, Wilf Hill, Kurt Gunby and Alex Keane of Chicester Westgate Triathlon Club’s Hermes team took the overall honours, while the entry was boosted by four teams from Hurst School.
Horsham Amphibians’ Jennie Doyle said: “The race attracts athletes from a range of levels; the winning team took 2 hours 39 minutes to finish compared to 4hr 29m for the last team.
“As a relatively short triathlon it is a great place to tick another event off your bucket list or continue your triathlon experience.
Whilst lots of local triathlon clubs put in teams to the event over half the teams taking part are not affiliated to a triathlon club.”
