Horsham Jogger Rachael Guckenheim was the first female finisher in the Polesden Lacey 10k trail race.
She clocked 45m, 36s to finish as first female finisher and the first Jogger home - Rachael was joined by ten other members of Horsham Joggers, most of whom have only recently graduated from the club’s latest Learn To Run course - on the muddy course near Bookham in Surrey took on the challenging Polesden Lacey 10k trail race over a very muddy course near Bookham in Surrey.
Michael Thornton was next Horsham Jogger to finish in 55m 21s.
There were many fine performances from the club’s newcomers who were spread throughout the race field, with Jenny Boyd and Victoria Saunders bravely bringing the club home across the finish line.
Meanwhile, A wet and breezy Heathfield in East Sussex welcomed another large contingent of Horsham Joggers for the very hilly Sussex Grand Prix 10k race. Steve Nicholl continued his fine recent form with a strong fourth place overall.
The Heathfield 10k was the latest in the Sussex Grand prix series, which takes in20 races throughout the year, including the Horsham 10k and the Barns Green Half Marathon.
