Jolyon Palmer resumes his GP2 season at Spa this weekend hoping to improve on his current tenth place in the standings.
The 21-year-old from Southwater has enjoyed a four week break since the last rounds in Hungary where he secured two top six finishes. He’s now hoping to continue his good form into rounds 19 and 20 at the legendary Belgian track, which heralds the closing stages of the 2012 season with just two events left to race.
“I’m looking forward to getting back in the car again at Spa after the August break,” Jolyon said. “It’s been nice to have a bit of time off but now I’m raring to go again in the last three rounds of the season. Spa is a great track which is really enjoyable to drive. The racing should be entertaining with good overtaking opportunities and the weather will surely play a part there as always. I’m confident of our pace and I’m hoping to be on the podium there. I have won there before in FPA and to repeat that in GP2 would be incredible.”
