A TITLE tilt in the National Outdoor Schools Championships awaits the College of Richard Collyer after disappointment last weekend indoors.

Collyer’s had qualified for both the under-18 indoor and outdoor finals at the end of last year, and the squad looking to reclaim their national crown won two years ago as Millais, against some of the top public schools in the country.

And after a third place finish in the pool stages, will be gunning for glory outdoors in March.

Hayley Worman, who along with John Burroughs, coaches the sides, said: “We only lost to Repton, who took the title, and Cooper. This has made the team more determined to push even harder in the National Outdoor Championships.

The Collyer’s squad was Priya Bhogal, Autumn Bowden, Jess Dean (Captain), Sophie Knight, Carolyn Watson, Izzy Wood and Lucy Wood

They have the chance to make up for the blow when the Collyer’s team go to Staffordshire for the outdoor finals - they qualified as runners up to Kingston in December.
