Horsham-based Atlantis SC recorded a host of personal best times in a rare chance to experience swimming in a 50metre pool.

A squad travelled to Crawley’s K2 Olympic sized pool for the annual Early Bird Long Course event on Sunday, giving some of the younger members members their first taste of the larger pool - most training and many events are held in smaller 25m pools.

The objective was to put some times on the board and have fun with the new experience, and the Atlantis squad responded with 26 County Championship Qualifying Times.

Particular mention went to Evie Clarke for her 200m individual medley (IM ), Holly Porter on her 200m freestyle , Lily Cherriman and Lily Davis in their breastroke swims, Ethyl Whyman, Ellie Smith and Toby Van Der Hut , Gemma Cumber on her 200 Free and James Hartley on his 200m backstroke as the Horsham swimmers revelled in the atmosphere.
