Tony Woodard, Don Puttock and skip Sheila Bonwick emerged as the winners at the culmination of the Southwater Drawn Triples Competition.

The tournament saw each team play four games, and in second-place were Kath Bennett, Vivienne Creamer and skip Ruth Corcoran, who ran the winning triple close in the final standings.

Nothing went right for Horsham IBC in a heavy defeat at the hands of Adur IBC in a friendly. Adur ran out 187-62 winners in an emphatic display, winning five rinks. Horsham did register one success, with a 23-17 win.

Elsewhere, eter Hamilton’s rink of Ray Knight, Alan Fisher and David James were the solitary winning rink (34-11) when Horsham IBC were on the wrong end of a crushing 150-101 defeat to Denton Island in the Sussex League. And also this week, a tight match eventually went Horsham IBC Gents’ way in a 138-124 friendly defeat of West Surrey BA. Top Horsham rink Barry Baillie, Keith Dellard, John Coghlan and Dennis Tribe made the difference, 21-10.
