The latest Sussex Sportshall League competition took place at Tanbridge School and the Blue Star Boys team again ran out the winners, scoring an impressive 275 points to beat nearest rivals Crawley by 19 points.
The girls team also performed well to take second place, scoring 261 points, 22 behind winners Crawley.
There were many excellent performances, with Andrew Price leading the way winning the u15 2-lap sprint in 20.8s, and then leaping an impressive 8.01m to win the standing triple jump.
Finally he also won the shot putt with a throw of 9.43m.
Also in the u15 age group, Calum Neal won the B string 2-lap in 21.2s, and then won the vertical jump with a 69cm leap.
Zach Dolton was a convincing winner of the 4-lap race in 44s, where Tom Mackman took second place in the B event in 46.8s. Tom had earlier won the B string speed bounce with a score of 74.
In the A string speed bounce Sam Dallas scored 83 to win the A string, having already won the B string standing triple jump with 6m. The 8-lap paarlauf saw the team of Andrew Price and Calum Neal run our easy winners in 1m 30.2s.
The u13 age group saw Josh Barnett and Jonah Harewood record second placings in the standing triple jump with 6.19m and 5.52m respectively. Jonah had earlier taken second place in the 4-lap race in 50.5s, where Alex Austin took third in the B event with 52.1s.
In the 6-lap race Dan Allam was third in the A race in 1m 19s with Josh Barnett taking second place in the B event in 1m 22.5s, and Josh also took a third place in the speed bounce with a score of 70, with Harry Bryant scoring 67 for second place in the B event.
Other notable performances included: U11s: Adam West, 2-lap winner in 23.7s and third in standing long jump 1.91m; Louis Kill 2-lap runner-up in 24.7s, third in speed bounce with 46 and third in standing long jump 1.81m; Charlie Austin third in speed bounce in 48;
Relays: U15 team easily won in 1, 26.4s; U11 team also won in 48.7s; U13s second 1m 39.7s.
U15 girls: Emma Garry won shot putt with 8.13m and second triple jump 6.35m; Tabby Lee second with 5.62m and third vertical jump 54cm; Caroline Wirth second triple jump 6.35m and third in speed bounce 70; Lucy Hubbrad won vertical jump 48cm and second speed bounce 70.
U13 girls: Mia Frost won Speed Bounce 76 and second 6-lap event 1m 23.7s; Ellie Walker second shot putt 7.02m and third 4-lap race 51.4s; Molly Arewenaski second 51.8s; The 2 lap races saw Freya Millis and Amy Dallas both come third.
U11 girls: Ella Hannyngton won both 2 lap race in 24.3s and the long jump with 2.10m; Abigail McPherson second 2-lap race 25.5s; Louise Stanley second long jump 1.81m.
