Roffey Club Y have opened up a five point lead in the defence of their Horsham & District League title after a 5-0 whitewash of Mill House.
Clive Thompson, Gareth Lloyd, Lee Cable and Mick Fairs made sizable scores before Dick Camble trumped them with a 12,230 score in the last. Also celebrating a 5-0 win were relegation threatened Black Dog, Chris Kirkham set them on their way before Alan Downs (6,690), Steve King, Dave Evans and Darrell Skinner followed.
Stout House A enhanced their Division 2 hopes, with a 3-2 defeat of Dun Horse A. Glyn Owen, Keith Newman and John Tidy secured the win before the Horse’s Ron Sheridan and Richard Spurrier hit back.
Division 1’a bottom team Windmill B beat Division 2 contenders Limeburners 3-2, Barry Dumbrill took the decider after Mike Lennon, Tony Temple, Chip Sawyer and Steve Holden traded points.
And finally, Stout House BB were comfortable 4-1 winner against The Plough, thanks to wins for Dick Dewdney, Adam Kuzimski, Pete Hartley and Rick Dewdney, Geoff Parsons with the consolation.
