HORSHAM YMCA manager Sammy Donnelly has warned his side not to get dragged into a County League Division 1 relegation scrap.
In their first season back in the County League after relegation last term, YM have lost nine of their opening 16 games. And while they are not in immediate danger of dropping into the lower reaches of the Division, Donnelly an anxious his side remain upwardly mobile.
After Saturday’s 4-0 home defeat to Lancing, he said: “Overall it was disappointing, but it’s gone now and we’ve got to get ready for Peacehaven, which won’t be easy. We’ve got to pick up as many points as we can because I don’t want to be right down the bottom, struggling at some later stage.
“It looks like we play better away from home than at home at the moment, and so let’s hope that shows in Saturday’s performance.”
