Supporters’ Player of the Season Gareth Williams has agreed to remain at Horsham FC in a real coup for the club ahead of the new season.

Goalkeeper Williams was one of Horsham’s key players last season, but was unable to prevent the club’s relegation from Ryman Division One South.

The Hornets have unveiled a host of new signings ahead of their first full season under manager Dom di Paola, but had been without a keeper until securing Williams’ services.

Defender Brad Lewis has also joined the club.

Di Paola told Hornets Review: “We’ve worked extremely hard to convince Gareth that this is the place to be next season.

“He loves the club and its supporters and that played a massive part in him agreeing to stay on.

“Everyone knows what a terrific keeper he is so I’m thrilled that he’s signed.”

Williams joins defender Tom Gilbert as the only two players to remain at the club from last season.

Full back Lewis, formerly of Worthing and Lewes, signed forms yesterday.
