Horsham Rugby U14s storm to tournament victory
Horsham RFC Under-14s claimed their first trophy since playing Under-sevens rugby in a ten-a-side tournament in East Grinstead.
Led by new coach Tony Jones and forward assistant coach Tony Lewis, the boys lost their opening games 3-0 to East Grinstead A and 4-1 to overall tournament winners Brighton.
Moving into the Plate event, an 8-0 rout over Crawley was followed by a 7-0 win over Shoreham in the semi-final.
Buoyed by these big scores, the Horsham boys went on to comprehensively beat East Grinstead B in the Plate final 6-1 to lift the trophy.
