Horsham Jogger Neil Boniface won the event in a time of 32mins 55secs, retaining the Champion’s Trophy he won last year and first Senior Male prize for his club.

But he was pushed all the way by Matt Bradford of Lewes AC, who finished just 11 seconds behind having stayed with Boniface the whole race before the champion kicked on over the final hill climb.

For a full report of the race including the full results and pictures, pick up your copy of the West Sussex County Times, out on Thursday.
