Horsham 1 Carney 33 Stevenage Borough 4 McMahon 73 Willock 75, 90 Morison 90
BRAVE Horsham's FA Cup dream is over for another year as they went down 4-1 to Stevenage Borough at Woodside Road.
But for 45 minutes the Hornets gave their Conference rivals a real scare, Lee Carney giving them a 1-0 lead at the break which they thoroughly deserved.
But a completely different Stevenage Borough came out in the second half and scored two goals in two minutes through Daryl McMahon and Callum Willock.
Steve Morison and Willock scored late on to give the score line an unflattering look to a Horsham side who battled bravely and have every reason to feel proud of another FA Cup run.
90 mins (+1): GOAL FOR STEVENAGE. Stevenage score with the last kick of the match. Morison slid the ball to the six yard box and Willock dinked the ball over Seuke for 4-1.
90 mins: GOAL FOR STEVENAGE. Steve Morison kills the game. Lee Carey gave the ball away as Horsham were looking for a goal, and Callum Willock lead a quick break down the left, sliding the ball into the area for Morison to slot in.
87 mins: Alex Haddow crosses with his right foot and Nwachukwu peels onto the edge of the box, but he can't get power or direction on a difficult header.
86 mins: YELLOW CARD. Tony Nwachukwu goes into the book. He was adament he should have won a corner and is adjudged to have kicked the ball away.
84 mins: Horsham sub. Tony Nwachukwu comes on for Lee Carney. They need a goal and the youngster has bags of pace.
83 mins: Lee Farrell plays in Sigere but as he runs at a defender he slips at the vital minute and the chance is gone.
82 mins: Jack Page clears off the line. A swift break down the right finds Willock unmarked four yards out, he pokes at goal past Seuke but Page hacks off the line.
80 mins: YELLOW CARD. Michael Bostwick goes into the book. From the free kick it is cleared to Carney, whose header back into the box finds Mingle unmarked and onside, but he can't direct his header and it falls harmlessly over.
79 mins: More danger for Horsham as Anaclet drives into the box, skipping past Eldridge's challenge but Acheampong is there with the sliding tackle to dissposses him.
77 mins: Horsham sub. Lee Carey replaces Gary Charman.
75 mins: GOAL FOR STEVENAGE. Disaster. Horsham give the ball away straight from kick off and it's played to McMahon on the left. He runs into the box and strikes at goal, Seuke gets a hand to it to tip it onto the bar but Calum Willock is on the line to head in. 2-1
73 mins: GOAL FOR STEVENAGE. Daryl McMahon smashes in for 1-1 and it had been coming. Steve Morison laid it back to him and after side stepping Eldridge he smashed high past Seuke
70 mins: Jack Page chips a ball down the line for Farrell to chase on the right. He's onto it but there's very little support and his cross comes to nothing.
67 mins: Horsham sub. Tom Graves comes off and Jack Page comes on and right back.
64 mins: Mark Albrighton has just missed a sitter. Drury's free kick from wide on the left was floated to the back post, and their was a collective holding of breaths as Albrighton rose to meet it but somehow put it wide of the post. A real let off. Horsham need to keep the ball better.
61 mins: Stevenage Sub. Callum Willock replaces Anthony Thomas.
The Hornets fans behind the Stevenage goal are blarring out a constant stream of "Barmy army" chants, but their team are having to withstand some heavy pressure at the moment.
54 mins: Morison heads onto the bar for Stevenage. McMahon's cross from the left finds the big striker at the back stick, his header back across goal hits the top of the bar and goes clear with Drury waiting on the line to tap in.

50 mins: Morison looks lively again in the box, but this time when he cuts back onto his right foot Eldridge takes it off his toes before he can get a shot away.
48 mins: We were just saying in the press box what a quiet game Steven Morison is having. Typically the Conference top scorer brough down a ball on the edge of the box, turned Eldridge inside and out and flashed a shot wide of Seuke's goal
Stevenage half time sub. Peter Vicenti comes on for Scott Laird. Horsham kick off kicking from left to right, it's going to be a rollercoaster 45 minutes.

Stevenage have created a couple of chances since the goal, but the Hornets are well worth their lead and will hope the Conference side's superior fitness wont tell in the second half.
45 mins (+1): Paul Seuke is out quickly to get there just before Andy Drury.
45 mins: Farrell does well to knick the ball and feed Carney. His high ball into the box finds Haddow, who tries to chest it down but miss controls it to Day. The Stevenage defence looks weak in the air and is struggling to cope with the high ball.
43 mins: Free kick centre of the goal for Horsham, 40 yards out. Carney dinks on into the box, Charman wins the header but a defender is there to put it out for a corner. Eldridge swings it close to the keeper and the whistle blows for a foul.
42 mins: Anthony Thomas should really hit the target for Stevenage. He runs into the box and smashes it at goal with his left foot, but it rises high over the bar. Suddenly Stevenage are playing like a Conference side.
39 mins: Horsham survive a nery moment. Laird cuts the ball back across the six yard area and Acheampong misses it, Gary Mills runs onto it but side foots it wide.
You have to say Horsham are well worth their lead here. They have had the better chances and looked more dangerous on the ball while Paul Seuke is yet to be tested.
33 mins: GOAL FOR HORSHAM: Woodside Road erupts as Lee Carney finds the net. Alex Haddow cut the ball across the area from the left, both Farrell and Sigere dummied it and Carney side footed it low into the net. A great goal all round, and Carney wasn't even expected to start.

25 mins: YELLOW CARD. Scott Laird is booked for a nasty late challenge on Tom Graves.
23 mins: Another chance for Horsham. Anthony Acheampong slids in to win the ball brilliantly, he feeds Lee Carney who crosses a lovely ball to the back post where Charman rises abover the defender but it's lacking power and straight at Day.
20 mins: Farrell has Horsham's first shot on target. Sigere slipped it to him in the area and from a tight angle on the right he forces a low save from Day.
correction to the Stevenage starting 11. Lawrie Wilson injured himself in the warm up so Scott Laird has started the game at left back.
15 mins: It's been a quiet five minutes. Gary Charman has just headed Chris Day's goal kick on for Farrell but he's strayed offside.
10 mins: Sigere has a free header over the bar. Again it's Eldridge's free kick, this time on the left, which is dangerously bend towards the back post, but Lee Farrell gets in Sigere's way and he puts it over. A bright start from Horsham though.
8 mins: Sigere goes close with a header from Russell Eldridge's free kick on the halfway line, but it comes off a defender and goes for a corner.
6 mins: Stevenage have the first shot. Tom Graves is caught in possession and Anthony Thomas shoots from the edge of the box but it's weak.
4 mins: Stevenage force the first corner of the match. It misses everyone but eventually comes out to Eddie Anaclet, who pings a crossfield ball into the box for Andy Drury to hook back in, but it's easy for Paul Seuke in the Horsham goal.
