Red-hot Chesworth storm to tournament success
The success continued for the talented boys of Chesworth Youth FC Under-eights as they stormed to victory at the weekend’s Selsden 7-a-side tournament.
Taking part in a highly competitive event along with 37 other teams, the side won both their groups to progress to the semi-finals, where they faced local rivals Crawley Utd.
Victory over the old foes set up a final meeting with hosts Selsden, and another victory saw Chesworth finish the day as victors having not conceded a single goal.
The prestigious win follows a super season which saw the boys go undefeated and score more than 286 goals.
The side are sponsored by local companies Bedford Sports and Northchapel Transport Ltd.
