Things don’t click for Roffey

On a ‘bad day at the office’, Roffey let slip a two goal lead to lose 4-2 away at Rottingdean Village.

Chris Dumbrill’s riffled shot from the edge of the box gave the visitors a 17th minute lead which was doubled by Andy Lampard’s poacher’s finish.

But three goals in seven minutes either side of half time turned things round, Jamie Watts with a brace and Adam Hardwick also on target, before Graham Monk wrapped things up.

Roffey boss Dan Redman said: “We weren’t at our best, nothing really clicked although we had a strong penalty appeal turned down and three goals ruled out for offside. It’s disappointing, but we’ll put it down to a bad day at the office and go again next week.”
