Fuming Horsham YMCA manager Peter Buckland says he is prepared to take his case all the way to the FA in a bid to overturn Matt Crane’s red card against Lancing on Tuesday.
With the scores level after Dean Cox and Lee Smith teed-up Martin Smith for a cool finish to cancel out Danny Gainsford’s opener, Crane was dismissed for an alleged trip - when the Lancing striker appeared to fall over his own feet when through on goal.
Buckland said: “I am as incensed as I have been for a long time. I am going to take this all the way, I am going to take it to Wembley. If I cannot get this rescinded it will stick in the throat.”
Shaheen Sadough buried the resulting penalty, and although YM pressed for a leveller, Lancing’s Dan Turner scored their third five minutes from time on the break.
