West Sussex League Premier Division leaders Cowfold have been handed a boost in their title quest with the return of midfielder James Wrigley.
After months out of the game, the talismanic player is set for a return to first team action at the club.
Wrigley, who missed the tail end of last season as well as the whole of this season so far, last weekend gave manager Ant Parsons the news he has been waiting to hear.
Parsons said: “It is fantastic news, it’ll be like signing a new player and it’s another superb boost for the side following the signing of Christian Stevens.
“It’s just what we need for the season’s run-in. The results in the league have so far been fabulous. All of the lads have performed magnificently well and the return of Jimmy and his creativity will only help to strengthen us even further.”
Cowfold’s match at local rivals West Chiltington on Saturday was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
