FOREST Reserves booked their semi final place with a last-gasp winner from man of the match Barry Ashton as they beat Mid Sussex League outfit Village of Ditchling 3-2.
Ditchling started the brighter but Forest went ahead when Ashton’s cross/shot was helped into his net by a Ditchling defender to give Forest the lead. It was a short lived advantage though, as a Ditchling striker was allowed time to pick his spot with a free header from a quick free kick.
Forest fell behind soon after the break, but in a stunning response, David Clark slid in the equaliser, and in the dying moments, Harwood beat the offside trap and Ashton scored a dramatic winner to tee up a home tie against Ore Athletic.

GARY Weedon bagged a hat trick as West Chiltington eventually found their shooting boots to thrash Clymping Reserves 5-1.
Chilt needed a while to shake off some rust, but after half an hour had gone 2-0 up with goals from James Peake and Scott Wolters.
Clymping hit back through Mark Beaumont, but Chilt made all the running after the break, and Scott Pulling laid on two goals for Weedon who completed his hat trick as Chilt went second.
COWFOLD fired six goals to start the year in style against Watersfield.
Greg Brabon opened the scoring with a sweet shot after a bright start, and Tom Whiting scored the goal of the game, two solo runs and a one-two with Nigel Smith before netting from an angle.
Dean Robinson converted Dave Whiting’s cross with a spectacular overhead kick for 3-0, and Smith applied the final touch to a fine move to make it four.
Watersfield grabbed a consolation before Whiting scored his second, and Simon Pike lashed home Cowfold’s sixth.

JACK Pestridge set Barns Green on their way after two minutes as they made hard work of dispatching Petworth on Saturday.
In a quickfire start, Pestridge tapped in at the far post, and although Stu Clarke beat two men to make it 2-0, a defensive slip allowed Petworth in for 2-1 at the break.
Chances continued to come and go for Green until Adam Rice teed up substitute Mark Blick to crash home the third.

AJAX Kings arms shook off the mid-season rust to beat basement side Balltree 4-0.
Tommy Clarke headed in the opener from Dan Brazier’s corner before Matt Hoyte fed Mike Burroughs for the second. Burroughs slid home to complete his brace, and substitute Craig Grantham slotted home number fur from an impossible angle.
