Loxwood manager Miller rejects job share

Julian Miller has stepped down as manager of Sussex County League side Loxwood after he turned-down the chance to be joint manager with coach Dave Cocoracchio.

Miller had taken charge of the Magpies in the latter stages of last season, and had guided them to eighth in Division 2 so far this season.

But in a statement from the Plaistow Road club, Loxwood confirmed Cocoracchio had replaced Miller.

The statement added: “ Despite intensive efforts to keep Julian at the club as a Joint Manager with Dave, it was a position Julian felt he could not accept, having officially been at the helm since the start of this season. The club are extremely disappointed to see Julian leave but respect his reasons. Everyone at the club would like to thank Julian for the hard work and tremendous loyalty he has shown the club over the past few years, at the same time we wish Dave every success in his new role.”
