Late Two goals in the final eight minutes ensured Steyning Town booked their place in the last-16 of the Sussex Senior Cup on Tuesday night.
Town fell behind in the eighth minute of the game, but late strikes from Matt Dodd and Chad Milner meant Steyning progressed.
Town boss John Suter said: “It was a much deserved victory for us.
“We dominated large periods of the second half and could have scored earlier than we did.
“I was beginning to get a little worried as we entered the final ten minutes still a goal down.
“However, the players deserve full credit for sticking to the task and securing the victory.
It was Hailsham who started the brighter and they took an eighth minute lead thanks to a Sam Divall strike.
Steyning left it late but they did manage to get themselves level with eight minutes left as Dodd netted.
Milner then scored with just three minutes remaining to book a tie against Ryman League South Division side Worthing.
